Flights arrive to Villahermosa, Tabasco. Private transport to Palenque, Chiapas.

March 20th - Saturday - Spring Equinox --Palenque:
Introduction to Maya history and Palenque archaelogical site with Carol Karasik, a writer and editor with an in-depth understanding of Maya culture, past and present.
Discussion includes recent discoveries in archeoastronomy, and equinox observations at the Palenque ruins.
Afternoon workshop/meditation.
Evening entertainment at Don Mucho´s in El Panchan - live music and fire dancing.

March 21st - Sunday --Palenque:
Visit with Don Álvaro, traditional curandero (healer), for introduction to medicinal plants of Palenque, and limpia (traditional energy "cleansing" and reading).
Afternoon workshop/meditation.

March 22nd - Monday --Jungle Walk:
Adventure and education, as we explore the rainforest with Alonso Mendez, local artist, guide, and archeoastronomer.
Afternoon workshop/meditation.
Evening temazcal (traditional sweat bath).

March 23rd - Tuesday --Golondrios Waterfalls
Travel to Lacandon Forest. Visit sanctuary/park at Cascadas Golondrinas.
Afternoon workshop/meditation.
Overnight in Frontera Corozal (or Lacamha)


March 24th - Wednesday --Yaxchilan:
All-day adventure to archeological site of Yaxchilan. Boat ride on Usumacinta River, bird and monkey observations - WAY off the beaten path!
Overnight in Palenque at El Panchan or La Aldea


March 25th - Thursday --Visit to Waterfalls:
Visit to waterfalls at Misol-Ha and Agua Azul.
Afternoon workshop/meditation.
Overnight in Palenque at El Panchan or La Aldea


March 26th - Friday --Palenque:
Visit to the excellent Palenque on-site museum.
Return to Palenque archaeological site for final workshop/meditation.
Overnight in Palenque at El Panchan or La Aldea


March 27th - Saturday --:
Free morning.
Visit to cacao (chocolate!) plantation. Afternoon transport to Villahermosa.
Final dinner and farewells.
Overnight at Hotel Cencali in Villahermosa


March 28th - Sunday --Departure:
Early morning flights back to States.
