The Heart of Parenting -
Talking To Your Child About Puberty

Andrea Rudolph, health educator, social worker and mother of 2 puberty-aged sons and
Beth Prins Leas, TLC founder and mother of 1 teenage daughter

None of us got through childhood without going through puberty. It's the curious evolution of our bodies and emotions that leads us into adulthood.

Whether your parents were Dr. Ruth or Mr. Rogers, we all find ourselves tongue-tied and uncomfortable when faced with what to say to our own children as they turn into young men and women.

Signs of puberty begin between ages of 9 and 16, with 1 in 3 girls beginning menstruation by age 12 1/2.

Learn how to:
~ get comfortable talking about puberty with your child
~ learn about "teachable moments"
~ explore your values and feelings
~ feel confident sharing information (resources provided)

Fee: $25/per person or $40/couple

Duration: 2 hours
