Total Life Care Center's Health for Life Partnership

presents

Breast Health Awareness Month in October

Norwalk, CT July 31, 2001

"The mission of the Health for Life Partnership's Breast Health Awareness Month is to provide more women - particularly those who are medically underserved - with direct access to breast health education and early detection screening services at little or no harge."
Beth Leas & Drew DiVittorio, Partners, Health for Life Partnership

The Total Life Care Center (TLC) based in Norwalk will present the Breast Health Awareness Month in October. This month long project will be hosted by TLC, 152 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.

Health for Life Partnership's first annual Breast Health Awareness Month founded by Drew DiVittorio and Beth Leas is a small-scale pilot project dedicated to educating women about breast cancer prevention through lifestyle choices and the importance of early detection and treatment. During the entire month of October TLC will provide a variety of integrative educational programs representing both the traditional and complementary approaches to breast cancer and breast health. The costs of providing these programs will be funded through donations from corporate sponsors, fundraisers and private donations. Admission to many of the events will be free or for a nominal donation.

Health for Life Partnership's goal will be to donate half of the net proceeds to breast cancer foundations and use the remaining funds to create ongoing health programs in the local community, which will provide ALL women life saving information, referrals to high quality screening services and follow-up care.

Beth Leas and Catherine Prins founded Total Life Care Center, LLC in 1997. Drew DiVittorio, Clinical Director, recently joined the highly skilled staff of holistic practitioners providing services including Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Energy Work and Craniosacral Therapy. TLC offers comprehensive wellness programs, private sessions and workshops addressing such health issues as detoxification, cancer care, women's health, weight loss and nutritional support.
